
On 9 August 2024, Mr. Piyawat Sivaraks, Secretary-General of the Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC), led a team of officials to welcome Professor Yoshimuta Tsuyoshi and Ms. Kawasumi Eri, Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) Coordinator from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), together with the representatives of the Embassy of Japan, on their visit to the OCSC to discuss cooperation.


The team of OCSC officials who participated in this meeting included Ms. Kamlai Angkaew, Director of the Recruitment and Selection Center, Ms. Chantana Sittiworanan, Human Resource Officer, Expert Level, Ms. Suporn Purisangkaha, Human Resource Officer, Senior Professional Level, Mrs. Nongnuch Pinisakul, Human Resource Officer, Senior Professional Level, and Ms. Phatcharinporn Sarnthoy, Human Resource Officer, Senior Professional Level. The representatives of GRIPS presented information on the upcoming application round for the Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) scholarships, which are specifically catered to civil servants/public sector personnel. The scholarship recipients will pursue their Master’s degree studies at GRIPS in Tokyo, Japan. As part of the joint effort to promote applications to this valuable program, the OCSC will disseminate the details of this year’s application round and nominate a list of qualified applicants.

This meeting provided the two organizations with an opportunity to foster their relationship. Each year the Japanese government allocates YLP scholarships to civil servants/public sector personnel for development purposes.
